Message from the Club President Welcome to "Nedlands Force" Football ClubWelcome to the 2009 season at Nedlands Football Club (NFC)! To those parents and players returning, "welcome back" and to those who have joined us for the first time, welcome and thank you for choosing NFC.
NFC has developed into one of the largest football clubs in Western Australia and we anticipate 2009 to be our final season in our current form (let’s make it a great one!). Negotiations with UWA Soccer Club (UWASC) are at an advanced stage and we have received support from our members at the AGM held in September 2008 to proceed with a merger between NFC and UWASC from 1 January 2010 in time for the 2010 season. The merged club’s intention is to develop into the leading football club in Western Australia.
Thanks already go to the very dedicated team working behind the scenes for the preparation that has gone into the 2009 season. We hope the trials for your team proceed smoothly and that you’ll soon be competing with honour in "gold and green" for NFC when the season gets underway in a few short weeks from now.
The club is placing particular emphasis on our quality of coaching and our "player experience" this year in order to improve the enjoyment of the season across our player and supporter base. Please come forward with any ideas, comments, suggestions, complaints and or help that you may be able to offer. Please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of our Committee or Susan Kennerly our Club Administration Manager with your thoughts, as we cannot improve the club if we don’t know!
